Habitat

Amur leopards live in temperate forests with big leaves and tall trees in Far East Russia and northern China. Unlike its relatives such as tigers, who live in hot places such as the savannas in Africa, the Amur leopards are more used to the cold mountain regions and forests. These beautiful large cats also used to live in North and South Korea but now they are not found there as a dangerous number of them are still left on earth.

On the map below, the pink areas show where the Amur leopard used to be found. As you can see, they once lived throughout a very large area. The red areas show where the Amur leopard now lives. Currently, the Amur leopards are driven to very small areas.
